3 Proven Methods To Boost Client Retention

by | Nov 11, 2018 | Customer Growth

How often do you reach out to your existing customers?  Daily? Weekly? Monthly? Quarterly? Annually?

Do you reach out to your customers only when you’re looking for them to spend more money?

If you’re like many businesses, this may be a pattern you’re unknowingly following that’s hurting your customer relationships.

Sure, you absolutely must sell to your existing customers, yet your customers need to hear from you in between sales.  Let’s look at 3 different ways for you to stay in contact with your existing customers.

#1: Email Newsletter

Send your customers a recurring email newsletter.  Your emails must contain valuable information, or they won’t be read.

#2: Thank You Cards

Send your customers (especially your top customers) a physical card thanking them for any being your customer.  A physical, handwritten thank you card is much more impactful and meaningful than the standard thank you email.

#3: Physical Newsletter

3) Send out a monthly newsletter to your existing customers.  This is something that we are passionate about at Pixelayn, and we send a monthly physical newsletter to our clients.

Although printing and mailing a newsletter can be costly, it can differentiate you from your competition and keep you top of mind. Plus, if you keep the content entertaining and educational, your customers will hold on to each newsletter issue—or share it with others.

What Now?

It’s not always easy finding time to send out recurring emails, thank you cards, and/or physical newsletters.  Take each of these ideas one at a time.  Don’t try to tackle them all at once.
